Prior to establishing IWC, Brendan was the National Manager – Indigenous Programs for a national not-for-profit organisation. Over the course of 10 years, he grew the Indigenous program from a single employee to a national team with a presence in every capital city. He established a suite of programs that included School-based Traineeships, adult Traineeships and Apprenticeships, Candidate Sourcing / Direct Hire Recruitment, Graduate Recruitment, Pre-Employment Training Programs, Paid Work Experience Programs and Mentoring Programs.

Brendan has a background in the Youth, Community and Social Work sector including Federal Government funded and community-based projects. Much of this activity was supporting disadvantaged and at-risk youth.

During this time, Brendan was able to achieve 50% Aboriginal employment across the Trainee and Apprentice workforce and position the organisation as the leading national provider of Aboriginal Group Training services.

Major clients included Qantas, Westpac Group, ANZ, NAB, CBA, Australia Post, Bupa, Medibank, SA State Government, VicRoads and the Indigenous Land Corporation.

Brendan has extensive experience in supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of reconciliation action plans and currently sits as an external representative on the Westpac Indigenous Advisory Comittee, and the Australia Post RAP Advisory Group.
